Featuring Ted Blachly, Jon Brooks, Timothy Coleman, Duncan Gowdy, Yuri Kobayashi, David Lamb, Joseph Tracy.

Tyra Hanson, Director of the Gallery along with Filmmaker, Michael Perlman have created a 30-minute documentary film showcasing seven of the Gallery at Somes Sound’s furniture makers who have been taught or apprenticed under the founders of the studio furniture movement, an American sub-field of studio craft. Names such as Wendell Castle, James Krenov, Jere Osgood, just to name a few, are the influences and motivators behind these artisans/craftsmen ... 

This film is dedicated to the New Hampshire Furniture Masters as they celebrate their 30 years as a nonprofit organization, with a focus on preserving the centuries-long tradition of custom furniture making in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, and Rhode Island.

Currier Museum of Art, Manchester, New Hampshire:  Wednesday, November 12, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Film screening followed by Q&A with furniture masters. Free for Currier Members and $10 for non-members.
