Richard Oedel

As a furniture designer and maker for over 20 years, Richard Oedel also came from an engineering and business background. The development and construction of form has always fascinated Richard; while living in Salem Massachusetts for many years instilled in him an appreciation and respect for the custom wood furniture builders of the 17th and 18th centuries, who lived and worked only steps from Richard's front door. Then splitting his time between Boston and Wolfeboro NH, he developed an international following.

Now full time in his studio and workshop in Wolfeboro NH, Richard is crafting work that is unique and exciting, while mentoring the next generation of makers.
